Cotswolds Hotels

If you're travelling further afield than our neck of the woods, try Cotswolds Hotels to find somewhere to stay. Many traditional places in quaint villages! You surely must visit Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh or Stow-on-the-Wold if you're touring. Whereas we love the Severn Valley, you should try to see the Cotswolds as well.

You will be in the land of oak panelling, horse brasses and hunting trophies. Much of the hotel estate has been refurbished true to style yet not as in authentic. Hotels and tourist venues always need to balance out the traditional with the contemporary - afterall Cotswold farmers weren't known for their broadband, but most likely you'll expect it in your hotel room (along with cable TV etc!)

Northleach has the famous agricultural museum which must be worth a visit, and Bourton-on-the-Water has its tea rooms and tourist shops. We prefer something more rural here, but many of you will enjoy both. River wise, there is the Windrush, although it is smaller than the Severn or the more picturesque Hay.

We have to agree there is nothing more cosy than a tray of tea and cakes in one of the Cotswolds hotels during winter. The trees are stripped bare of leaves and the wildlife is mostly hibernating safely in its burrows. Same thing?
